The Cold Never Bothered Me Anyway

We are so excited to get going on EYT: Frozen Jr. ! I can't tell you how much this program means to me and the entire staff at our happy little theatre. We were all youth actors at one point, looking for every opportunity to grow our skills and hone our abilities.

When I first got involved with EYT I was nervous because I had never worked with youth actors outside of peers in school. I am happy to say EYT has been a part of my life ever since. Before I turn the time over to your Program Director and Show Director this year. I just wanted to take a minute to say thank you. Thank you for loving theatre as much as I do and for believing in the arts as much as I do. You all have amazing, talented children, I am happy to be able to provide them a place to shine.

I now get to introduce our Program Director. Everyone, meet Merilee Adams.

Merille has been involved at the Empress for a while, recently you may have seen her on stage in Shrek: The Musical. Off stage you may know that she serves as the OHPPA Board Secretary. She has three kids and a wonderful husband.

She is going to take this program in a wonderful direction. I can't wait for you all to get to work with her during EYT.

Next, I would like to introduce your Show Director.

Bridges Eatchel

Some of you will already know Bridges from her work on EYT: Lion King Jr.

I am so excited to have her back for EYT: Frozen Jr. She has been working on a vision for this show for almost two years now. I have no doubt that it is going to be amazing!

Bridges is an experienced theatre professional on and off stage. She knows how to tell a story and how to make you believe in the story.

She is going to impart valuable life skills not only useful in a theatre setting but useful in your children's every day lives.

If you've made it this far, thank you! We at the Empress are so exciting to get the ball rolling for our youth program.
